Total applicants for the 31st BCS was 164167. After successfully passing Preliminary and Written test 6884 candidates were called for VIVA voce.
6500 Candidates attended the viva exam from 06/02/2012 to 20/04/2012 and 5489 passed both in written and viva exam.
Though they passed both in the written and viva exam, due to scarcity of the available post not every candidate was recommended for Cadre post.
So according to Special Appointment Rules- 2010 in Non Cadre post BPSC will try to appoint them in Non cadre post.
